I was doing some writing in the backyard shortly after Toronto Pride, about love, self-worth and confidence.
I was in the middle of my writing, when a heart shaped leaf fell quietly onto the table beside me; I didn’t even see it settle down on the glass table because I was so wrapped up in the words flowing onto the page.
It was as though the Universe was right there with me cheering me on, reminding me that I was on the right track.
Generally speaking, the hearts show up when I feel the weight of self-doubt, as if to remind me that I’m making the right choices and that uncertainty is just all part of the game of life so I need to savor it more than wish it were something different.
And that afternoon was no different.
