It was shortly after I’d broken my neck and I was leaving for work in the morning.
The past few weeks earlier had been a hustle of appointments and a bustle of getting to work and focusing on that still. In short, it was an exhausting time, not to be understated in any way shape or form. The only way I got through it as well as I did was the result of friends and a few family members.
While searching for my keys and doing the mental inventory to make sure I had everything before leaving the house for the day, I found this heart on the Buddha statue at the entrance to my apartment.
Did I do a little photo editing with my phone? Sure.
But the bottom line is that the heart still showed up exactly when I needed it as a reminder that it was all going to be absolutely fine.
Broken neck or not, it’s always working out for our benefit.
