Missed Buses and Freezing Temperatures

I had just finished work and I was waiting for the bus to take me home.

Double checking the schedules, I figured I missed my bus which meant I was in for a 20-25 minute wait, depending on whether or not it was on time. It wouldn’t have been a bother normally, but the temperatures were hovering at around -30 Celsius.

I was trying to busy my mind to take my attention away from the biting cold when I looked up at the dirt on the shelter wall and saw someone left a little love behind for someone to find later on…

And within minutes, the bus I thought I missed pulled up, it being quite late but right on time and in sync with the hearts that never let me down.

Sometimes the hearts are feel good things, but I’ve learned to trust that sometimes in more dire situations like freezing cold weather, they mean something good is unfolding and that I just have to get out of the way and do my part, being happy.
