I received tickets to see a show in Toronto to see, “Seminar” put on by Mirvish Productions.
The theatre that we were headed to was smaller and completely different from the plays I’d seen before. The play itself was interesting and differed from seeing “Gingers in Love”, “Blithe Spirit”, “Motown” and “The Physicists” which I’d seen throughout the year. It stood out because of its focus on a few powerful emotional scenes, which conveyed so much about the human spirit.
The show let out around 3pm and the late afternoon light was fading into dusk, when we settled into a restaurant on Church St., in Toronto’s Village.
There are few things which compare to the feeling of finding the makings of a great friend. It’s the moment you realize that you have more in common than just surface details. Though there was a chill in the air, there was only warmth filling the corners and edges of my insides.
We were walking down the sidewalk talking about what we were looking forward to about the days ahead when I stopped in my tracks, seeing a heart in the smallest place, which made it all the more wonderful to stumble upon.
There is something to be said for finding hearts in the least likely places and keeping your own heart open enough to receive the good that the Universe has to offer.
